Ebebe Esalo is a Belgian visual artist whose work explores feminine beauty, emotion and fashion through her distinctive series, Retro Beautiful Faces.

Drawing from fashion illustration, beauty, femininity, dark glamour and contemporary naïve and outsider art, her work is inspired by the people she encounters, editorial imagery and fleeting everyday moments.

She transforms these impressions into expressive portraits created with ink, watercolour, pastels and a small A6 paper.

Rather than seeking realistic representation, Ebebe interprets each face through her own visual language — embracing exaggerated features, intuitive imperfections and bold contrasts to create characters that feel mysterious, timeless and emotionally charged.
